2019年2月7日(木)から2月11日(月)まで、高校２年生の生徒５人がパラオ共和国を訪問しました。算数教育と食生活の研究のため、マリステラ小学校、コロール小学校で授業見学とインタビューを行い、パラオ教育省も訪問しました。パラオのベラウ国立病院の元院長であり、厚生大臣も務めたウエキ・ミノル元日本大使にパラオの医療/教育/食生活/観光の現状についてインタビューし、JICAパラオ支所で日本の国際援助について学びました。最終日にはベラウ・モテクンゲイ高校を訪問し、ラジオ体操(体育教育)、BMI(食育)、Bento, Omoideなどパラオに残る日本語について英語で発表し、交流行事を成功させました。

Five Meiji High School students visited the Republic of Palau from February 7^th to 11^th, 2019. They observed a math class and lunch time at Maris Stella Elementary School and Koror Elementary School for their research projects. They also learned about Japan’s development assistance for Palau at the Ministry of Education and JICA Palau. They also had a chance to interview　Minoru Ueki, a former Minister of Health and Welfare and Palau Ambassador to Japan. On the last day they visited Belau Modekngei High School and introduced Japanese radio gymnastics, BMI calculation, and some of the Japanese words that remain in the Palauan language to local students.
