高校１年グローバルキャリア教育は、２年生で選択する課題研究のため、研究メソッドを身につける授業を行っています。

その中で「防災・減災」に取り組んでいるグループが、セキスイハウス九州北シャーメゾン営業所の方による「自然災害に強い建物とは？」というテーマの講義を受けました（2月2日）。当日は、山口市にある住まいの夢工場で様々な体験をさせていただき、地震体験や火災発生時の壁の温度などについて学びました。耐震基準の歴史的な経緯やきっかけなど、自然災害に強い建物を学ぶ良い機会となりました。

A special program called “Global Career Education” provides first year students with the opportunity to acquire academic skills.

A group who studied disaster prevention and risk reduction attended a lecture by Sekisui House about natural disaster prevention at “Yamaguchi Sumai no Yume Kojo”, and we experienced　a big earthquake demonstration among other thing.

It was a valuable opportunity for the students to learn about buildings that are strong against natural disasters.
