『自然災害と防災・減災』チームは、7月30日に北九州SDGsクラブ連携プロジェクトの防災体験学習～MCTMプロジェクト～にweb参加しました。このイベントは北九州SDGsクラブ防災プロジェクトメンバーである小倉西高校の主催で実施されました。江﨑太郎氏により「水害時の身を守る行動と災害ボランティアについて」について講演がありました。また、パネルディスカッションでは、「①被災現場から学ぶ②これからの避難・防災」をテーマとして、産官学の代表がパネリストを務め、活発な議論が行われました。明治学園からは、高校２年生の本多貴登さんがこの１年間で学んだこと・高校生が主体的に行動することの重要性を伝えました。

今回のイベントを通して、防災・減災の大切さを改めて学びました。今後も様々なステークホルダーと協働で防災・減災意識の向上に寄与し、SDGsのゴール４・１１・１７に貢献していきたいと思います。

On July 30, the “Natural disaster and disaster prevention” team participated in the disaster prevention hands-on learning “MCTM project” of the Kitakyushu SDGs Club Collaboration Project. This event was hosted by Ogura Nishi High School, a member of the Kitakyushu SDGs Club Disaster Prevention Project. In the online lecture, Mr. Taro Ezaki gave a lecture on “Activities to protect yourself in case of flood damage and disaster volunteers”. In the panel discussion, representatives of industry, government, and academia acted as panelists, and lively discussions were held under the themes of; 1) “Learning from disaster sites”, and 2) “Evacuation and disaster prevention in the future”. Takato Honda, a Meiji Gakuen second-year high school student, shared what he learned in the past year and talked about the importance of high school students acting independently.

Through this event, the students once again learned the importance of disaster prevention and mitigation. Going forward, the team would like to continue working in collaboration with various stakeholders to raise awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation, and to contribute to Goals 4.11, 17 of the SDGs.
