２月１２日（水）にアカデミックメソッドの学習成果発表会が行われました。中学生６グループ２１名がそれぞれのテーマで発表しました。内容だけではなく、プレゼンテーションに工夫を凝らした発表が多く、各発表者がこれまでしっかりと準備をした様子を見てとることができました。ソーシャルスキル・プレゼンテーションスキル・アカデミックスキルを高めるアカデミックメソッドの発表会にふさわしい内容でした。

発表を聞いた生徒のふり返りには「問いの発想がすごかった」「根拠のある主張だったので、説得力があった」「自分で取ったデータを用いて検討していく手法は自分も真似したい」「話すスピードや声の大きさが聞き取りやすく、分かりやすかった」といった言葉がありました。明治学園の探究型授業の展開が楽しみになる発表会でした。

A presentation session for the Academic Method course was held on February 12^th. 6 groups composed of 21 junior high school students gave presentations. They showed they had improved in their understanding of the content but also in the public speaking abilities. This session was appropriate for the Academic Method course whose aim is to develop students’ social, presentation and academic skills.

Some audience members said ” I was surprised at the speaker’s imagination with the question” , ” I was convinced because the hypothesis was supported by evidence ” , “ I want to try using the speaker’s research methods with my own date” ,and” I was able to understand what the speaker said easily because of the appropriate speed and volume of their voice” in their reflection sheets. It was a session that made us look forward to the future developments at Meijigakuen of classes focusing on research activities.
