高校１年グローバルキャリア教育は、高校２年生で選択する課題研究の充実を図るため、プレ課題研究として研究メソッドを身につける授業を行っています。

その中で「防災・減災」をテーマに取り組んでいるグループが、1月17日に北九州市立天籟寺小学校において防災・減災意識向上のための啓発授業を行いました。当日は、5時間目の授業時間をいただき、「暗闇の中を歩くとどのような危険があるのか」、「非常用持ち出し袋の中身は何を入れるべきか」、「自然災害はどこで起こるかわからない」について体験するアクティビティを実施し、自然災害への備えがいかに重要であるかを伝えました。

A special program called “Global Career Education” provides first year students with the opportunity to acquire academic skills.

A group who studied disaster prevention and risk reduction gave a lecture on disaster prevention to 6th-year students in Tenraiji elementary school. The purpose of the lecture was to improve the disaster prevention awareness of the younger generation. The elementary school students learned about the risks of walking in darkness, the importance of preparing what they need for an emergency, and the fact that we don’t know when natural disasters will happen. Many of the elementary school students enjoyed the activities organized by the high school students, and studied about the importance of disaster prevention. It was a valuable opportunity for our students to learn about the activities for improving disaster prevention awareness.

The students will continue these activities in Kitakyushu.
