3月24日(土）関西学院大学で行われた文部科学省主催2018年SGH甲子園のポスター発表部門に高等学校２年の豊澤千佳子さんが参加しました。パラオにおいて広まる肥満や糖尿病などの生活習慣病には、SPAM缶などの缶詰の加工食品の大量消費が影響しているのではないかという調査結果を発表しました。

Chikako Toyosawa, second year Meij Gakuen High School student, took part in the MEXT 2018 SGH poster presentation competition held in Kansei Gakuin University in Kobe. She reported that Palauans’ consumption of a large amount of canned foods such as SPAM may cause diabetes and other diseases related to obesity, which is one of the biggest health problems in Palau.
