Good morning everyone. It’s time for the morning prayer.
(‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’
Do you know this song?
It’s called ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’.
The song is about children waiting for Santa to come. They know that he is watching, so they are being good, so that Santa will give them a present.
The song says ‘He sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake, he knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!”
However, is it okay to be good only when someone is watching? We should try to be good even when other people aren’t watching us. True goodness comes from inside of you. Every day we can choose to be kind, help others, be honest and study hard. These choices might not always be easy, but they are important.
During this Christmas season, let’s remember to be good,
not because someone is watching us, but because we want to be good people and do our best every day.
Now, let us recite the lords prayer.
Our Father,
who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen
