『ASEAN（ベトナム）班』は、11/8（木）に東京で開催された第7回高校生国際ESDシンポジウム＠東京／第4回全国SGH校生徒成果発表会に学校代表として参加しました。東南アジアから6校、全国から14校が様々な研究テーマの成果を発表するために筑波大学東京キャンパスに集いました。明治学園のASEAN（ベトナム）班は、ベトナムの河川の水質を改善するという研究テーマをもとに、「美しい水の国を目指して」というタイトルでポスター発表をしました。とても緊張する中、これまでの研究の成果を生徒たちなりに堂々と発表できたと思います。分科会では、「生徒版！SGH評価委員会」と「水問題とＳＤＧｓ」に参加をし、他校の生徒たちと議論をしながら、最終的に課題に対する解決策の提言まで完成させることができました。一日を通し、生徒たちは様々な刺激を受け、これからの研究へのさらなるモチベーションになりました。

The ASEAN (Vietnam) team attended “The 7th High School Students’ International ESD Symposium @Tokyo 2018 and The 4th All Japan SGH Schools’ Meeting” held in Tokyo on Thursday, November 8th as a school representative. 6 high schools from Southeast Asia and 14 schools from various parts of Japan gathered at Tsukuba University, Tokyo Campus to present their findings of their different research themes. The ASEAN (Vietnam) team of Meiji Gakuen have been researching on how they can improve the quality of water in the rivers in Vietnam, and they gave a presentation by using a poster titled “Become a Beautiful Water Country.” They were quite nervous, but they did their best and were able to present the result of their research splendidly. In the Section Meetings, they were assigned to participate in the “Students Edition! SGH Evaluation Committee” and the “Water Problems and SDGs” groups. They discussed these topics with students from other schools and created proposals to solve the problems. Throughout the day, the students were inspired by various ideas and were motivated for their further studies.
