8月8日から9日にかけて、国際経済受講者6名が福井県敦賀市で杉原千畝について学ぶ研修を行いました。8日は人道の港「ムゼウム」で資料を確認したり、杉原千畝を研究されている古江孝治様から講義をしていただきました。古江様にはインタビューもでき、生徒の学びはとても深いものとなりました。

翌日は杉原千畝に助けられたユダヤ人が実際に歩いた敦賀の道をたどったり、船に乗って敦賀湾を海から眺めたりする体験をしながら、ウラジオストックから敦賀へと逃れた当時のユダヤ人の心境を想像しました。
事前研修、事後研修も精力的に行ったことで、今回の敦賀研修は非常に有意義な学びの機会となりました。

On August 8th and 9th, students taking the class “ International Economy” studied about Chiune Sugihara in Tsuruga City in Fukui. The first day, they learned a lot in “Port of Humanity Tsuruga Museum” especially through the lecture from Takaharu Furue, a researcher on Chiune Sugihara. Students interviewed him and learned details about Chiune Sugihara. The next day , students walked around the city , tracing the route taken by Jewish people whose visas were issued by Chiune Sugihara about 78 years ago. Our students also took a ship and saw the Tsuruga bay as the Jewish people did. After they came back from Tsuruga, they studied even more about Chiune Sugihara. This fieldwork was a very precious opportunity for each members to look at the world from a different view point.
