【English Spelling Contest】
６年生の英語スペリングコンテストが行われました。アメリカやイギリスなどで”Spelling Bee”(スペリング・ビー)と呼ばれるイベントです。例えば、先生から”shoemaker”と言われて出題されると、”s-h-o-e-m-a-k-e-r”とつづりを言い、本校では「靴屋」と日本語訳までを答えて「正解❗️」となります。
今回のコンテストでは１、２学期にリーディングの授業で読んだ本の語彙（100語以上）の中から出題されました。予選を勝ち抜いた代表児童が決勝に進み、たくさんの単語の問題が出されたにもかかわらず、全員が全問正解という素晴らしい結果でした。写真は今回の優勝者のみなさんですCongratulations!!

We had our annual Grade 6 Spelling Contest recently. It’s “Spelling Bee.” The students memorized more than 100 words from their readers used in English Class. After the qualifying round, the contestants competed in the finals. Surprisingly, these 12 students were able to spell out all the words!! Well done, winners!
